About The Studio Karaoke: The Studio Karaoke is Memphis's only private-suite karaoke restaurant, located in Poplar Plaza. We offer private karaoke suites by the hour alongside a full food & beverage menu. We're looking for positive, reliable, and professional people to join our back of house team.


Position Overview: We're seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Cook to execute our menu with consistency, speed, and quality in our warming kitchen. This role covers food preparation, cooking, plating, dishwashing, and keeping a clean, organized kitchen. The ability to prioritize tasks and manage your time during service is essential.


Essential Responsibilities


Food Preparation & Execution:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
  • Execute orders accurately and efficiently during service
  • Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and plating
  • Assist with prep work including chopping, portioning, labeling, and organizing ingredients


Kitchen Cleanliness & Sanitation: 

  • Wash dishes, utensils, and smallwares throughout shift
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
  • Follow all food safety, labeling, and storage procedures
  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning checklists and closing duties


Teamwork & Service Support: 

  • Communicate clearly with front-of-house team to ensure timely food delivery
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment; report any maintenance concerns
  • Jump in where needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly


Inventory & Ordering Support: 

  • Conduct weekly inventory counts and communicate stock levels to inform ordering
  • Assist with receiving and properly storing deliveries


Attendance:

  • Consistent, reliable and on-time attendance

  • Food safety certification a plus (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Reliable transportation, a working phone, and ability to stand for extended periods, work in a warm kitchen, and lift up to 50 lbs
